Giant Turkey

I work in downtown Boston, but I often see lots of Canada geese near my workplace. Yesterday, though, I saw something that made me say "Wow!". It was a huge turkey, at least three feet tall, standing right out in the open.

Weird!

I've seen in the paper and on the news stuff about the turkeys running about Brookline and Boston. A while back some at Washington Square in Brookline were actually going at people; a little disturbing such I'm sometimes down in that area. Of course now that I'm walking with a cane I have a Weapon and if the turkey attacks me I can hit it back! Which would make for a comical news story, I'd suppose. :)

Hmm, if I killed one in self-defense would I get to keep it? Might take a bit to clean it up but it can't be that much harder than cleaning a trout, right? :)

I don't know...that turkey was big. I'd be afraid that he'd take away the cane and turn it on ME! :D

Well, yeah, that could be an issue.

I wonder what would happen if somebody started, well, catching the overly common geese and maybe selling them to stores in Chinatown or wherever. I'd almost expect that with the problems the geese cause the authorities might be tempted to look the other way. Hmm, maybe somebody is already doing that; anybody happen down that way and see something bigger than a duck or chicken in a window? :)

I'm reminded of the WKRP episode... "The downtown mall is being BOMBED with live turkeys." Rofl!!!

"As God is my witness I thought turkeys could fly." :)
