There is nothing I hate so much as having to re-create a huge post that has been lost. It makes me sick to think about starting it again.

And no, I don't have Semagic here. It's not allowed.

Is it not allowed to be installed on the system or is it blocked by firewalls etc.? If only the first, you could try to install it on one of those SD-Card/Flash Ram pocket drives that hold like 256k of data, so it's not actually on the system. You plug it into the USB port, run it from the port and then pop it out when you're done, without leaving a trace.

The other possibility is to write posts in Notepad, then copy and paste into a journal posting window. It's just slightly slower than posting it directly online.

I know, it doesn't help with your current loss, but it might be a solution in the future...
