...Grrrrr....

Screw it. I'm not going to try to reproduce that lost post. Here are the ^%#@ing bullet points.

Had a good D&D game on Thursday. My barbarian killed two gargoyles in a single round, and a third the round after.

If he survives the barbarian will get to 12th level soon. I'll need to pick a new Feat. Considered several of them, and will go with Improved Critical - you are hereby spared a lot of discussion of the different options and my reasoning.

Here's a link to a post on Usenet (via Google) about the feat issue.

The D&D system is unrealistic and poorly designed.

The game is moving to Tuesdays, probably.

Yeah... D&D isn't my favorite system either. Odd, because that's the system I grew up on. I recommend you try RuneQuest. :-)

Actually, if your group is playing D&D, you may be able to get them turned on to HARP.

I'm still the "new guy" in the group, so unfortunately I'm in no position to change their choice of systems. For a while it even looked as if they'd ask me to leave the group (I was missing a lot of sessions), but now we seem to have clicked and are having fun. We'll see where things go...

Another thing: I have a tendency towards preachiness, particularly when I'm talking about RQ. Image

Yeah, well, who isn't preachy about it? :-)

Just think - hopefully sometime in the near future you'll be able to stroll in with your brand-new Deluxe Basic Roleplaying book and show them the one, true way. Heh.

Hey, they just barely tolerate me as it is! :D
