God DAMN it, John Kerry!
Just saw the following message in my inbox:
I won't inflict the contents on you. Suffice it to say that he's now asking for MORE money, the shameless whore. He's pissed away what he's got on the most ineffectual campaign imaginable, and now he wants more money?
I can tell you this: If I actually HAD ever given him money, I would have serious problems sleeping nights, knowing how he has completely blown that money - and the election AND American democracy, into the bargain.
It seems to me that there no longer is a real Democratic Party. What's left are a bunch of stupid whores who are very happy in the position of permanent loyal opposition - professional Goldsteins. As long as they're second in line at the corporate trough, they'll happily squeal praise of The Leader and take their dive at the appointed time.

no subject
the Front Lines of the war and the media doesn't give us a full picture of
what's going on.
Yeah, we know that my little Ryo-ohki plushie thing should be able to beat
Dubya. A decorated veteran with significant political experience should be
able to defeat a draft-dodger who went AWOL and whose record shouldn't
encourage even the GOP folk to vote for him. Kerry somehow apparently
hasn't had as much of an impact as he should...or is he? Let's also recall
that he's a Massachusetts Liberal Catholic; there are a lot of people in
this country who will blindly vote against him for any one of those traits.
And add in the people who will blindly vote for the President "because there's
a war on" and those who think Bush did a good job in responding to 9/11
even though any President would have done roughly the same thing, except
that they probably would have finished the job in Afghanistan.
Kerry is running against an incumbant during a supposed crisis and who is
generally is getting a free pass in the media. That's a tough ride, and
I don't know that another candidate (read Dean) would have been any better.
The thing is that War which gives Bush an advantage is going poorly enough
that even the regular media is noticing. The administration can't fully
spin that everything is hunky dorey.
Basically, barring a severe Kerry misstep in the debates, I think that
Kerry will win this, barring of course outright theft which is admittedly
will almost certainly be attempted if at all possible.
