Holy cow! Dirty laundry explosion!

A thread I started in webhostingtalk.com has become extremely interesting. Current and former employees of my webhosting company are ripping into each other. It's very educational, to say the least!

Read thru it, and it sure looks like the company was in crisis behind the scenes before the ownership change, but that the new owner was fairly naieve and overly cost conscious without being terribly customer oriented. A beancounter without a clue who just basically fired everyone and hired whoever would work in India for $2-$3 an hour.

I have a firm belief that outsourcing is the worst thing a company can do with MIS, especially MIS at a Computer services company of any kind. A guy in India can't do squat with the phone lines screw up, the server shuts down from a hardware crash or a raid system fails. You need physical bodies where the equipment is.
