I was up way the hell too late last night, grubbing every penny I could to get a mount for my fighter. Finally I succeeded: got him riding training and a chestnut mare. Silly as it may sound, it felt great to have him be riding around the woods! And the mare looks much better than the brown horse that my mage rides.
I was playing solo, of course. Nobody I knew was on.
I also had him train up his gun skill and two-handed axe skill. It was surprisingly fun using the gun, but I'll stick with the fine light crossbow for regular work, for now; it does more damage.
I'm so tired - I can hardly keep my eyes open!
Oh, one odd thing: I tried to complete the Humble Beginnings/Simple Compass quest, but when I got to the spot that Quest Helper was indicating, there was no compass there. Irritating!
Domac, my 10th-level paladin/tailor/enchanter, has been getting pretty good at tailoring. That's because my higher-level characters have sent her hundreds of pieces of linen and wool to work on. She can make 8-slot bags now, and replaced all her own six-slot bags. She'll do the same soon for any of my Alliance PCs who are still using any 6-slot bags.
