Sebastian and the dish-towel

I voice-posted this, but it didn't auto-transcribe well.

A few days ago Teri was washing an apple for me and Sebastian to have for breakfast. She started to dry it with a dish towel which I'd used before; I remember it had a bad moldy smell. Why didn't I throw it in the hamper or wash it back then? Um...good question.

Anyway when I saw that she was drying the apple with that towel I said something like "Jeeze, hon, don't use that towel. It stinks! It's all moldy!"

She sniffed it and said "I don't smell anything."

"Let's try it on Sebastian," I answered, and took it over to him. He was watching the Flintstones, and was a bit mesmerised; nonetheless I asked him, in as neutral a tone as possible, "Sebastian, does this have a smell?"

Still staring at the TV, he took a sniff. Paused for a moment, and then said quite calmly:

"Breath."

Pause.

"Bad breath."

Pause.

"Real bad breath."

Pause.

"Cat breath."

So Teri washed it again and dried it with a paper towel. :D

thanks much
