Waiting to Explode
Jun. 29th, 2005 09:40 amRan downstairs to pick up a bagel and an apple juice from Fresh City. You may congratulate me: they had my favorite coffee (french vanilla) and my favorite muffin (coffee cake), but I wasn't even tempted.
So I grabbed the bagel and juice. Back at my desk, the cap of the juice (Nantucket Nectars Pressed Apple) turned a bit more easily than usual. There was a "pop" when I opened it, but it wasn't as loud as it should have been. So I wasn't too surprised when I took a sip of something very much like horse piss.
Actually, I've never tasted horse piss, so don't hold me to that.
Unfortunately I was still surprised enough that I actually swallowed it.
So now there's a decent chance that I'll have food poisoning sometime soon. And ever since that really bad food poisoning incident a couple of years ago, I've passed out every time I've had even a slight case. Argh.
If I DO feel myself starting to pass out, I'm going to try to hyperventilate. That should help me to stay conscious, right?
