Jul. 3rd, 2007 10:20 amI'm writing this from the library terminal in Maine. Nine minutes before I have to get off.
It's Tuesday. We'll be going over to the Boothbay Railway Village after this. Sebastian wanted to go yesterday, and made a huge fuss to go. We held out, but it was a bad time.
This morning he dropped his Spiderman action figure behind the stone steps in the front of the house, and once again had a meltdown. My father was able to lever the rock over and get the figure...but we're worried. He didn't used to have these meltdowns, or hardly ever. Now he's having them almost once a day.
Is this how things will be from now on?
Other than that...I don't actually feel like writing about anything else. It's hard to write notes about my vacation when I'm worrying about my son. But I suppose I should at least jot a few things down in my remaining five minutes.
Oh yeah: IMPEACH BUSH! His abuse of his powers to commute Libby's sentence is yet another display of his utter lawlessness. A Republian operative was quoted in the NYT today saying that Bush felt that the sentence was excessive, and therefore bush showed "mercy". HAH! Bush wouldn't know mercy if it was jammed into his eyeball. Only a Republican could use the word "mercy" in application to Bush with a straight face. How many people did Bush happily execute as governor of Texas? With, of course, the eager help of Alberto Gonzales? I believe they set a record.
These people need to be impeached, tried, convicted, and jailed for life.
Let's see, the vacation. One minute to go. Went to Pemaquid lighthouse yesterday. Teri and I went out for dinner last night, just the two of us. Saw a rainbow downtown - it was beautiful (has anyone ever seen an ugly rainbow?).
Had dinner at the Ebb Tide. Great desserts, skimpy seafood. Whoops, my time's up. I'll be online again for a half-hour on Thursday, unless we leave early.
Take care.
