Ever wonder why someone has de-friended you? And then realized that you'll almost certainly never know?

For the record, nine out of 26 posts that I've made this month (not counting this one, and excluding one that's me-only) were either friends-only or private. So just over 1/3 of my posts are visible only to people on my flist and (in some cases) filters.

Sleep

Teri was really tired today, so she went to sleep right after dinner. I hung out with Sebastian, and tried out the new regimen. At 7 PM the TV went off; no problem, no fuss. I let him play on the DS for a little while longer, because I was sewing up a badly torn pocket in my overcoat; that's tricky work, since I wanted the repair to be a sturdy one (that's the pocket I keep my wallet in). I also wanted to be careful not to ruin the lines of the coat. Since the pocket lining was partially shredded at the edges, and there was no opening in the lining of the coat that would allow me to work on the "out" side of the pocket, it took me longer than I expected to finish. I haven't done much sewing in years.

The final results were pretty good, though; there's still a small hole at the top of the pocket, but I don't anticipate any real problems with that. I double-stitched everything, and with any luck the repairs should be permanent...or at least very long-lasting.

Anyway, I took a break from sewing for a minute and got Sebastian his vitamin to chew. I also got him his flosser. By the time he'd finished the vitamin, I'd finished the coat; so while he flossed, I played his DS for him. I was able to get a star, and that allowed me to choose "Save and quit". He didn't protest at all. A quick (but thorough) tooth-brushing, and he was in bed before 7:45. It went really smoothly. I read half of The Cat Who Tasted Cinnamon Toast to him, closed the book at 8 o'clock, and we listened to his lullaby tape for a few minutes. It didn't take him long to fall asleep.

Nice to have everything work out so well!

I was awfully sad to hear that Patrick McGoohan, the creator and star of The Prisoner, died yesterday at the age of 80. I was a huge fan; as a teen, I practically worshiped him.

When Sebastian is older I'll watch The Prisoner with him...and probably some Danger Man, too.
