Oh, Sam...

For the last few days Sam hasn't been howling, or even eating very well, and this morning we found that our cat, Sam, has a large tumor and will not survive. He doesn't seem to be suffering terribly, but he won't eat and is quite listless. We're going to bring Sebastian home from school a little early so he can say goodbye, and then Teri's mother will stay at home with Sebastian as Teri and I take Sam to the vet.

I've been saying that Sam is 20 years old, but Teri tells me I was wrong; he's actually closer to 22 years old.

I can't write any more right now. I'll put up a little shrine to my furry old guy before too long with some photos.

In the meantime, here's the first photo I ever took of Sam, in December of 2001.
