Vacation

I started a long vacation yesterday, and I'll be off all next week. Some of that time we'll spend at my parents' house up in Maine. This is kind of a sad thing for us; they're selling that house, so this will probably be our last time there. Boothbay Harbor had become a sort of distant second home for us, and we have a lot of memories. I'll make sure to return with pictures.

Speaking of which, we're probably going to buy a new digital camera today. Our old one still works, but the battery door is broken; it tends to spring open unexpectedly. It's also only a half-megapixel camera, which is kind of a joke. We'll be looking at low-end cameras from Sears, and I'll be doing some research today to find out which ones are better. I know that they carry Sony, Fuji, Cannon, and Samsung. If anyone has any recommendations, please pass them on.

It was a long night. Sebastian woke up around 2AM crying and begging for us to take the air conditioner out of his window so he could see the grass. I was, and am, totally mystified by that. We took him to other windows to see the grass (why?), but he still cried and fussed for an hour. There were also a couple of runs to the potty and I had to go downstairs to refill his water cup. Finally, in desperation, we moved him to our bed. He asked for me to pass him his water, so I passed it over to him, saying "Don't drop it on my head!". This he promptly did, giving me a painful thump at the base of my skull. It was an accident, but I was just too tired to take it, so I went over and spent the rest of the night in Sebastian's bed, alone.

I'm so bleeping tired...
