The truly amazing thing is that The Onion published virtually the same story yesterday...as a joke. Presumably, before they were overtaken by reality.

This is one of those posts that I probably shouldn't make.

Heh. I was momentarily tempted to end it right there. That would have been funny.

Words fail me

We take off our shoes as we enter the house, and put them on a shelf in the mud room. That way we don't track dirt and lead dust into the house.

Today Sebastian picked up my shoes as I took them off and put them on the shelf for me.

"I'll put away your shoes, Daddy."

I didn't ask him to, or expect it. He wasn't trying to get candy or toys or anything like that. He's not that manipulative.

You have no idea how that made me feel. And words fail me.
