Speaker Pelosi is holding a live chat over on the Washington Post website. I just wasted my time with a comment that will surely be consigned to the void by her screener, unread after the first line:

Speaker Pelosi, I don't have a question; just a sad comment. I am simply at a loss to understand the determination of the Democratic leadership to give in to President Bush and the Republicans on so many critical issues.

Your capitulation on the Armenian Genocide resolution and telecom amnesty are the two most egregious examples, in my mind.

This life-long Democrat has been forced to the conclusion that I no longer belong in the Democratic Party, thanks in large part to the craven behavior of yourself and most of the Democratic leadership in the House and Senate. I don't expect an answer...I just hope that your screener might pass this on so you'll be aware that your actions are killing the hope of Democrats like me.
