WoW update

Not much to report. Another solo evening. Someone spoke to me nicely, but it turned out that they were just selling gold.

My auction went off well enough, and I got just under 3 gold.

No leveling, unfortunately. Domac (pal-13) got to 50 in enchanting, but she needs maple seeds to make cloaks. Apparently they're available from merchants, but I haven't found one yet. I took her adventuring; she's doing well, and is making good progress to level 14.

I also got Omacblade, my skinner/leatherworker, to level 10. But he bores me; I've done the human/fighter thing too many times before.

Got Omacmage out of Darkshire (too scary to be in alone) and completed a minor quest or two.

I managed to quit a little earlier than usual. But I still didn't get enough sleep; I'd just fallen asleep when Sebastian called me to come and sleep with him. I did, but he pulled all the blankets off me (he'd had me pile six blankets on him at bedtime) and I froze. We really need to take out the bedroom air conditioners!

Health

My sinuses have been hurting like a bastard. The pain was intermittant for weeks, but it has been getting worse - and yesterday it was continuous. Particularly on the right side, making me feel as if I needed a root canal.

I've been doing the sinus rinse almost every night. That's a...well, here's a link to a YouTube commercial that shows how to do it, at around 1:30 in. Warning, it's a little gross-looking.

It's helping, and it doesn't hurt, but I wish it were helping more.

Maybe if I got more sleep...

Train reading

I've been reading Thoreau's Walden on the Franklin line for weeks. But I have to admit that I can only handle about six or seven pages at most before I have to switch to something like Slave Girls of the SS. :D

Okay, seriously, my other book is currently The Still Small Voice of Trumpets by Lloyd Biggle. Good book, but much lighter reading then Walden - although I have to say that Thoreau is actually pretty damn funny!

Amazing Science!

A scientist has discovered a way to put animals and possibly people into suspended animation with a poison gas:
